From Healthcare Assistants (HCA), Nurses, Foot Healthcare Professionals, Physiotherapists, Paramedics and more – Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHPs) all have one thing in common: they play a vital part in treating, rehabilitating, and improving the lives of patients. Allied Healthcare Professionals often visit patients in their homes and are perfectly poised to deliver ear and hearing healthcare services, alongside their existing level of care, to their patients.

The number of people who need ear and hearing healthcare services has been increasing steadily, whilst at the same time accessing these services is becoming increasingly difficult. Many GPs are no longer offering wax removal services, (BBC), and patients are left waiting for several weeks, if not months to receive the treatment they need. Pre-Covid, patients were waiting on average 12-16 weeks, this has now grown substantially – with many patients waiting over a year.

The complete ear and hearing
healthcare solution in your hand.

The Tympa system empowers non-specialists to deliver expert care by utilising 3 powerful diagnostics tools: digital otoscopy (for HD image and video capture), microsuction wax removal (recognised as the industry gold standard), and a hearing screener – in 1 fully portable device, allowing clinicians to travel to patients and deliver ear and hearing services, from the comfort of their own home.

Not only that, the Tympa system uses our unique “Remote Review” feature, which enables Allied Healthcare Professionals to call on expert advice and guidance from our team of Audiologists and ENT Specialist Surgeons, if a second opinion is required.

Patients require new ways of accessing ear and hearing health services.

The TympaHealth Training Academy have developed training courses aimed at allied healthcare professionals looking to expand their current scope of practice. Our courses are designed and run by experts in Audiology and ENT, so everyone knows they are learning from qualified experts in the field.

Furthermore, our courses are officially accredited by ENT UK, The British Society of Audiology (BSA) and The British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (BSHAA). No other programme in the UK offers this unique level of accreditation.

Offering ear and hearing healthcare services will not only help alleviate the burden on secondary care settings by helping patients receive the care they need, faster. It offers an opportunity to learn additional skills and earn potential income, whilst helping to normalise regular ear and hearing check-ups – so people can experience life to the full.

I found that Tympa really care about their patients, rather than just selling the kit they provide ongoing support with Remote Review, making it easier to provide better care to patients – using the Tympa system is a no brainer! Gillian Clancy, Feet First Foot Clinic
I was first drawn to the Tympa system as the technology used is really innovative! When I first got to use the device during training, I was really impressed with how user friendly it is! Lucie Tran, Ambience Foot Health

The Tympa Backstory

NHS ENT Clinician, Dr Krishan Ramdoo, witnessed first-hand how difficult it is for patients to access ear and hearing health services. His desire to ‘find a better way’ led him to develop the Tympa system.
