Audiologists triage patients with the Tympa System

The demand for ear and hearing healthcare services is growing rapidly due to an ever-increasing ageing population, exposure to loud noises such as music and the increased use of headphones and ear buds in our daily lives. Despite this, accessing ear and hearing health services can be both challenging and time consuming for patients. Some wait up to a year to be seen via the NHS which is having a significant impact on their wellbeing.

Audiologists already provide vital ear and hearing healthcare services to their community. By integrating the Tympa System into their practice they can streamline their patient services getting more patients appropriate hearing solutions, quicker.

In the UK, it is estimated that 2.3 million people each year have problems with earwax sufficient to need intervention. (NICE)

How Tympa works in your clinic.

The Tympa System is an innovative, fully portable, handheld hearing health assessment system. With the Tympa, audiologists can perform high-definition digital otoscopy, microsuction wax removal using a suction unit*, and a hearing check, all in a single 30-minute appointment.

All patient images and video are stored in our secure cloud, making it easy to keep track of your patients’ ear and hearing health record. What’s more, audiologists can access remote advice and guidance from ENT surgeons for additional support, if required.

As an audiologist that offers ear and hearing health services with Tympa, you can streamline your services to deliver more care to your community, helping you to retain existing customers, as well as acquire new patients.

The Tympa System can also be used as a routine check up device or to carry out cleaning and maintenance of hearing aids for patients, increasing their lifespan, and helping to ensure your patients maintain a good standard of ear and hearing health.

The Tympa Backstory

NHS ENT Clinician, Dr Krishan Ramdoo, witnessed first-hand how difficult it is for patients to access ear and hearing health services. His desire to ‘find a better way’ led him to develop the Tympa System.
