Breaking Down Barriers to Ear and Hearing Health

A new study conducted by TympaHealth has uncovered significant social and psychological barriers that prevent people from seeking essential ear and hearing care. The findings reveal that:

  • 35% of UK adults have experienced hearing loss.
  • 56% say it has negatively impacted their mental health.
  • One in three people have never had a hearing check.
  • Many delay treatment due to stigma and embarrassment, especially younger adults.

Our mission is to change the conversation around ear and hearing health, ensuring that people of all ages feel empowered to seek the care that they need.
